Thank you. I was waiting for the guy on the right to take off, but instead another bird landed nearby I was shooting with fast shutter, so only the objects close by and those reflecting light have shown up.
Very nice shot. For me personally, I would have liked both birds to be in focus. Also, the stick in the bottom right corner is a little distracting. Maybe cropping that can also add more to the shot. I was always taught taking a picture with the subject in either the left third or the right to add depth and make it a tad bit more interesting. I hope this is useful in some way.
Anyways, it is a great shot and you were lucky to capture it!
Thank you. I was waiting for the bird on the right to take off, but instead another one landed nearby (hence the focus). This picture is already cropped from the original photo, and I did not want to fill the whole shot with the subject. On a side note, the birds roughly occupy 1/3 of the space - another reading of the "rule of thirds".
Does the title of this piece have any meaning? I can't tell if it's supposed to be from the bird's perspective, or if there's something else that I'm missing. The focus on the image is good, and the depth of field is really good. It's a pretty nice image. Framing from the sticks is a nice plus.
